Meet Our Team

Anna

Anna

Co-Founder & Director

Anna founded Locomo and is involved in just about every part of the business.

She looks after product sourcing, purchasing, finance and customer support, while also keeping a close eye on orders and the day-to-day running of the company. She always has an eye out for products that are well designed, genuinely useful and worth bringing to New Zealand and Australia.

The ocean and fishing is in her blood, so outside of the office she’s often in or around the ocean with her daughters and family, dropping a line in the hope of a good catch

Joe

Joe

Co-founder

Joe is across all areas of Locomo. When not helping run the business day-to-day, Joe enjoys meeting and working with customers and our stockists, talking about the Locomo range and problem-solving with the techs. Joe also has an eye over Locomo’s comms and marketing, product sourcing and working with suppliers.

When not rolling with Locomo, Joe's with his familiy, mountain biking local trails, playing hoops for a local C Grade social basketball team, or in the sea chasing fish for dinner.

Renée

Renée

Sales Coordinator

Renée is the friendly voice you are most likely to hear first when you call Locomo.

She answers customer questions, supports our stockists and works behind the scenes to make sure orders are processed on time and sent where they need to go.

Whether you are looking for a product, checking on an order or working out who to speak to, Renée is our customer service super star.

When she is not answering your call, Renée will most likely have gone bush, hiking trails with family and taking in the outdoors. She also has an extraordinary knack to find the coolest collectables from secondhand stores.

Abi

Abi

Marketing

Abi looks after our marketing across New Zealand and Australia, making sure you are getting the information you need and trying to make it look good too.

She’s a local legend behind the scenes most of the time, helping make sure you can find Locomo when you need us.

Abi is also our inhouse general knowledge oracle and we are desperate to start a pub quiz team with her.

Mandy

Mandy

Accounts and Admin

Mandy helps keep Locomo’s accounts organised and everything adds up as it should.

She handles the financial administration that keeps the business moving and was named Emerging Bookkeeper of the Year in 2025 (which we think is pretty cool!).

A word of warning, don’t underestimate Mandy in any Christmas work party sport, she's also a gun target shooter and emerging croqueter.

Meredith

Meredith

HR

The wonderful, effervescent Meredith is Locomo's wise counsel in all elements of people wrangling. She keeps HR processes running smoothly, supports staff with her trademark positivity, and brings a steady, human touch to business operations.

She's also a community living-legend supporting the local school, and she can hit a green from a Par 4 tee.

Jack and Perry

Jack and Perry

Australian Warehouse Managers

Jack and Perry run the Sydney warehouse.

They look after our Australian stock and make sure orders are packed carefully and sent out promptly to customers and stockists around the country.

These friendly lads are Locomo’s leaders of high-vis fashion.

Brent

Brent

New Zealand Warehouse Manager

Brent looks after our Christchurch warehouse and makes sure New Zealand orders are picked, packed and sent out promptly. He is an important part of making sure every order leaves safely and gets on its way without unnecessary delays.

At other times Brent is playing keys in a few different bands.

How Locomo Started

Locomo began in 2015, when our founder, Anna started looking for a walker for her grandmother, Nana Irene. At the same time Anna was a first-time Mum and noticed that a lot of design thinking had gone into baby buggies… but not walkers. Without finding the right piece of equipment in her home town, Anna searched abroad and found the Rollz Motion in The Netherlands. This brightly coloured walking frame could also convert into a wheelchair when needed and Irene immediately loved it. In fact Irene named it Rollo, and it made such a difference to getting out and about, both in her village and on trips to other cities, that Anna began wondering why products like it were not already available in Australia and New Zealand.

Throwing caution to the wind, Anna left her office job and started Locomo, initially bringing in a small range of walkers. Since then, Locomo has grown to supply mobility and lifestyle products to customers, stockists and healthcare professionals across Australia and NZ. Nowadays Locomo provides a wide range of exceptionally designed products to connect people with the places and communities they love, in style and comfort.

Why buy from Locomo?

We look for products that solve a real problem and offer something better than the traditional options already available.

We know that what works well for one person may not be right for someone else. That is why we choose products that give people more options, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. When considering a new product, we look at:

  • how it feels to use
  • how easy it is to handle
  • the quality of its materials and construction
  • its comfort, stability and design
  • whether it meets the relevant product standards
  • the availability of parts, warranty support and servicing
  • whether it is genuinely suited to customers in New Zealand and Australia

Many of the brands we represent are already well established overseas. Before bringing them into the Locomo range, we make sure they are not only well designed but also tried and tested.

Support before and after purchase

Choosing mobility equipment can be a very personal decision, and only you will know whether a product feels right for you. Our team, or one of our stockists, can help explain the differences between products, answer your questions to help point you in the right direction.

Support doesn’t end once your order arrives. If something is not right, get in touch and we will help you understand the available options and what happens next.

Our stockists and professional partners

Locomo supplies mobility retailers throughout New Zealand and Australia. Our stockist network gives many customers the opportunity to see and try products in person before making a decision. You can find your local stockist on our stockists page.

We also work with occupational therapists, physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals who help people find mobility products that suit their needs.
