Like the Rollz Motion, the Performance's wheelchair package removes easily, then the frame can fold in one seamless motion, making it easy to pop in the car.
A: In addition to the features that it shares with the Rollz Motion, the Rollz Performance has:
- Air-filled tyres for all-terrain use
- Ergonomic handles
- Extra padding in the wheelchair seat and a wedged shaped cushion for comfortable seating
- Reflective stripes
- Extra padding in the arm rests and handles to reduce vibration
- The frame is an eye-catching jungle green
- Comes with the basket accessory included.
A: The Rollz Performance is the mixed-terrain version of the Rollz Motion. This rollator walker and wheelchair has air tires that reduce the vibrations when you walk on bumpy ground. The armrests are thicker and are more comfortable when you sit in the wheelchair, same for the seat of the wheelchair. It has more padding in the front of the seat cushion. With some extra reflective linings, this rollator walker increases visibility in the dark.
A: The maximum weight capacity is 125kgs and is designed for carrying only one person at a time.
A: The Rollz Motion is designed by Rollz International, BV in the Netherlands. It is the result of significant research and development. Rollz has received a number of awards for the Rollz Motion design including 2012 Red Dot Award, which is one of the world's most prestigious design awards that has been won by other well-known design oriented companies such as Apple, Bose, BMW and Porsche. Rollz oversees the manufacturing of its products in Taiwan by a family owned company that pride themselves on quality.
A: The frame of the Rollz Performance is made from extruded aluminium.
A: The inverted handles ensure that you stand a lot closer to the frame and also stand tall. You won't need to lean forward or be hunched when pushing the walker (like you would with most other mass-made frames). Thanks to the handles on the Rollz Motion, you will naturally stand a lot closer to the frame, meaning you will walk taller.
The inverted handles also means there is less strain on your wrists. Instead of steering with your wrists like you would with traditional walkers, the inverted handles means you steer more with the palms of your hand and naturally use all of your arm with less effort.
There's an older video here showing this (the Rollz Motion in the video is in one of the older colours) but the concept still remains the same.
A: Yes, the handles on the Rollz Motion Performance rollator is height adjustable with a range of 87-98cm.
A: The tyres can be pumped with a handpump or even a pump for car tyres. The valve can be pushed to the outside for better access. After removing the cap of the valve and attaching the pump to the valve, you can fill the tyres with air. The front wheels can be filled to 4.5 Bar or 65.3 PSI and the back wheels can be filled till 2.5 Bar or 26.3 PSI.
The Performance comes with a small mini-pump, which you can keep in the pocket of the walker with the footrests. But this is more of a travel item and doesn't have a pressure gauge on it - it's best to use one with a pressure gauge like some bike pumps have.
A: The Rollz Motion Performance is available in the colour of jungle green only, not in other colours.
A: Rollz have designed two 'bag' options that can attach to the Rollz Performance. One is the underseat basket which comes with the Performance already. This remains attached in both wheelchair and rollator mode and can fold with the unit. The other is a larger 'Shopper' bag that can attach on the front of the Rollz when it is in rollator mode (it must be removed in wheelchair mode) - this is only available as an accessory so muct be purchased in addition to the unit. People also sometimes use the pocket of the Wheelchair package where the footrests go when people are using it as a walker.
A: In addition to the Rollz Motion Performance walking frame, the seat cushion, wheelchair package, footrests, a mini-pump, and an under-seat basket comes in the box. Any other accessories purchased in addition to these will be added to the box.
(To be clear, the Rollz Performance does not come with the 3-in-1 holder, travel cover, cup holder, back support, tray, locking hook, additional slow down brakes. These can all be ordered additionally as accessories to be added to the box).
What people say about the Rollz Performance
★★★★★Ellie van S.
I love my Rollz Motion Performance. Now I can go at least twice as far on trips, by walking half and using the wheelchair for the other half. It makes my world larger. It is also quite comfortable, definitely more comfortable than a regular fold-up wheelchair. Not only does the Rollz Motion work well, it also looks great!
My Rollz Motion Performance has given me back so much freedom! I can freely move about without having to be scared of crashing both physically and in energy. Often for outings I will travel there with public transport by myself and then when I get to the destination I can transform the Rollz to a wheelchair and be pushed around.
I love my Rollz Motion Performance!!! I recommend it to everyone and know of one person that has purchased one since seeing mine.
